The Huntsman Cancer Information Service (HCIS) and Huntsman Cancer Learning Center (CLC) provide patients and the public with access to current, easy-to-understand information about cancer in a relaxed and supportive environment. Specially trained cancer information specialists staff both programs. In addition to helping individuals locate information, the staff of these programs can assist with finding support groups, clinical trials, treatment centers, mammography facilities, and other services. Information specialists may consult with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to ensure they provide the most accurate, up-to-date information available. There is no charge for using these services. The Huntsman Cancer Information Service provides information via telephone (including a toll-free line), e-mail, and postal service.

At the Cancer Learning Center, individuals can access hundreds of brochures, books, videos, audiotapes, and computer resources to address their information needs. The collection includes information on cancer treatment, coping, helping children understand a parent’s diagnosis, survivorship, caregiving, and grieving. You may borrow most items by completing a registration form and presenting a photo ID.

with extended hours on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Closed on weekends and holidays.
