Marta Heilbrun, MD

Assistant Professor, Department of Radiology

Marta Heilbrun, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Utah and a member of the Imaging, Diagnostics, and Therapeutics Program.

Her research focuses on medical imaging in oncology, particularly prostate cancer. She also developed a cost-effective model for adding needle biopsy to the diagnostic workup of suspected kidney cancer patients.

Heilbrun received a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College, Massachusetts, and a medical degree from the University of Utah. She completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Wake Forest University/North Carolina Baptist hospital in 2006, and an Abdominal imaging fellowship at the University of Utah in 2007.
