Laura M. Hoffman, PhD

Research Assistant Professor, Department of Biology

Laura Hoffman, PhD, is a member of the Beckerle laboratory at Huntsman Cancer Institute and is a research assistant professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Utah. She studies proteins that contribute to the adhesion and migration of normal cells with the goal of understanding how these processes are altered in cancer cells.

Hoffman received her BS in biochemistry from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After working in the pharmaceutical industry, she went on to earn her PhD in biochemistry at Colorado State University.
